2001 (Freshman) - One of two true freshmen on 2001 depth chart (PK Joe Rheem)... Saw action in six games at running back... Part of a running game that broke a nearly 50-year-old school record for rushing yards per game with a 257.7 average... The team’s per game rushing average was 30 yards better than the school-record average of 227.4 set in 1953... The offense ranked fourth nationally in both in rushing offense and rushing touchdowns (34)... K-State’s fifth-leading rusher with 210 yards, averaging 7.5 yards per carry on the year... His 210 yards rushing places him second on the school’s single-season rushing chart by a freshman... His 7.5 yards per carry ranked first on the team... Averaged 35.0 yards per game on the ground... Registered 49 yards on four carries in the home opener against New Mexico State (9/22), including a 36-yard scamper... Capped his impressive opening performance with a 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter against the Aggies... Totaled a season-high 11 carries for 51 yards against Iowa State (11/3)... Rushed for a season-high 66 yards against Louisiana Tech (11/17), including a season-best 38-yard... It marked the second time in three weeks that he improved his personal-best in rushing.

Rushed for 2,485 yards in 2000 at Olathe North, scoring 49 touchdowns. Led the 12-0 Eagles to their fourth Kansas 6A state title in five years. Rushed for 2,031 yards in nine games as a junior. Finished career with 5,230 yards and 79 touchdowns, averaging nearly 8.4 yards per carry. Holds nearly all rushing records at Olathe North. Had a 10.6 mark in the 100-meter dash to his credit along with a 21.6 mark in the 200. Finished 2nd in the state in the 200 as a junior... Placed 4th at Class 6A States in 100 and 3rd in the 200 at 22.04.

Personal - Born June 20, 1983 in Waterloo, Iowa. Parents are Larry and Annette Sproles. Hopes to major in sports medicine. Active in community. Participated in reading programs with area elementary schools.
