MANHATTAN, Kan. - It was a year ago that Kansas State’s defense took a significant step forward, but here in 2010, it’s gone in reverse. In eight Big 12 games, K-State has given up 293, 587, 331, 683, 511, 4112, 440 and 476 yards per game. While the 'Cats have scored 27, 13, 59, 42, 14, 39, 28 and 36 points in those games, they have managed only a 3-5 record due to its shabby play on defense.
