Head Coach Bill Snyder On the Oklahoma Sooners...
"The first thing that comes to mind is their defense. As their numbers indicate, they have been very impressive this year. Secondly, their coaching background that they have is very talented, as well as the talent level of the players that on are their roster. But what is most impressive to me is the ability that they have shown to overcome adversity. They lost Sam Bradford and his replacement (Landry Jones) has been playing lights out. He is becoming more comfortable now that he knows that the offense is his and since then, the rest of the team seems to have more confidence in him.

"Defensively, they have a very good scheme in place. Their coaching staff has done an excellent job getting their team prepared every week. They have been very dominating, especially against the run. They are a very athletic team that runs very well and plays hard every down."

On the progression of the defensive line and secondary ...

"I think that we have made some decent progress in those areas. I know that we have gotten a lot better in the past two weeks. If you look at the numbers, you can see that we are getting to the quarterback a lot better than we were at the beginning of the season. But the level of competition steps up this week. Oklahoma gets the ball off pretty quick and that can really affect our pass rush.

"With the secondary, I think that they have also made significant improvement. Emmanuel Lamur had a good game against Colorado with his two interceptions. We have improved our turnover margin - to get 10 turnovers in two conference games is something that we should be proud of. But again, the level of competition gets a little better this week, so we are going to have to play that much better this weekend."

On his thoughts on being atop the Big 12 North...

"Well I don't really pay much attention to that stuff during the season. I know who won and who lost the previous weekend's games but that's about it. There is no real way of predicting how things will turn out. Just look at the past few weeks involving us, Texas Tech and Texas A&M. That just shows you how much of a guessing game this really is."

On playing in Memorial Stadium in Norman ...

"Well they have a 27-game home winning streak right now, so that is obviously pretty impressive. It shows that they are a very talented team especially at home. Bob (Stoops) and his staff have done a wonderful job down there, so I can understand why they have such an impressive streak going."

On the importance of having a sellout against Kansas ...

"I would really like to see a stadium full of purple. That would mean a lot to us as a team. That's how this program was built - by having a great following of supporters like we have had, and that's how we will build our program back up again. I know it would mean a lot to our players, to see all those people there to support what we are trying to accomplish."

On his expectations throughout the season...

"I think that my expectations change with how well we are progressing throughout the year. I think that my expectations enhance rather than decrease. I think that what I've seen between last spring and now is how I base those expectations. It doesn't have anything to do with wins and losses. It's how each individual and how we collectively are progressing."

On the victory against Colorado...

"I might have been a little more upset than I needed to be. I just wanted our team to know that there are greater expectations now that we have been playing well in the last couple weeks. There were some things that didn't meet the standards that we have set for ourselves. That's why I was so upset, because we didn't improve as well as we should have."

Senior Running Back Keithen Valentine On Kansas State's current success...

"Everybody is confident since we are 3-1 in the north. Oklahoma is a good team, and everyone is happy and excited and ready to get better."

Senior Quarterback Grant Gregory On playing Oklahoma...

"We are playing against a team with a lot of players with NFL talent. They are really good personnel-wise. We all have to play better than last week."

On preparing for Oklahoma...

"It is no different preparation-wise. It is going to be a tougher week since we are playing a better team. We have to prepare more to get better, but it is going to be the same preparation."

Senior Defensive Lineman Jeffrey Fitzgerald On Oklahoma's offense...

"We are preparing for their best guys to be out there, and we know it is a big game. We just have to do our best and bring our A-game."

On Oklahoma's home winning streak...

"I did not even know about it until now, but we are getting ready to play our game. Home or away, between those white lines, we just have to go out and play. We just have to try and not let the crowd be a factor."

Sophomore Defensive Back Tysyn Hartman On playing at Oklahoma...

"It is definitely fun playing down there. I have gone to a couple of camps down there and had a couple of games down there during my high school career. It is a fun atmosphere to play in."

On Oklahoma's offense...

"They have talent all across the board. They have a rich football tradition, so a lot of kids want to go down there. A couple of guys have gotten hurt, but they have guys who have stepped up into those positions."

On forcing turnovers...

"It starts with the pass rush. They have really stepped up, which has helped force turnovers. Getting 10 turnovers in two games is impressive and it starts with the pass rush."
