Kansas State University has a contract pending with Jacksonville State University for the 2012 football season. The game would be played at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

KStateFans.com has learned that Jacksonville State University will be added to Kansas State's home football schedule for 2012. Contracts are in hand, but have not been signed.

Coached by Jack Crowe, the Gamecocks, a Division I-AA school, went 8-3 last year and were a six-game winner in 2007, 2006 and 2005. JSU reached the I-AA playoffs in 2004 with a 9-2 record, and 2003 with an 8-4 mark.

A member of the Ohio Valley Conference, Jacksonville State normally plays one BCS opponent a year, which will include Florida State in 2009.

The Gamecocks lost to Georgia Tech in 2008, 41-14, and fell to Memphis in 2007 and Mississippi State in 2006.

Also on KSU's 2012 schedule are North Texas, Miami and Oregon. K-State is trying to get out of the games against Miami and Oregon.

Other non-conference games on future schedules include: 2010 - UCLA and Missouri State at home, and at North Texas; and, 2011 - Oregon and Louisiana-Lafayette at home, and at Miami.
