(FREE) KSU Commit Travis Tannahill Braggin'

Travis Tannahill, Scout.com three-star tight end from Olathe-East, Kansas, will visit Kansas State for the second time this season. The Wildcat commitment is proud of his future team's performance and looking forward to his arrival in Manhattan. "Coach [Matt] Wallerstedt told me he felt [KSU] were much bigger, tougher and wanted it more [than UT]. KSU went out there and proved it!"

"I went to Kansas State for their first home game, and I am going up there this weekend for the KU game," said Travis Tannahill. "I am looking forward to the game this weekend. It should be fun. My dad, brother and I are all going to the game."

"The whole rivalry between the two schools is great. Our head coach went to Kansas State. He has been talking it up. Everyone in our school is talking about it. We'll see what happens. We'll definitely win if we stick to our game plan."

Coach Ron Prince has defeated Texas in his first two years as Kansas State's head coach. Not many people thought the Wildcats would defeat Texas by 20 points in Austin.

"That was awesome. I watched the game on TV, and it was impressive. I thought they played well. Jordy Nelson played an incredible game. Coach [Matt] Wallerstedt told me he felt they were much bigger, tougher and wanted it more. They went out there and proved it," Tannahill said.

"Other than the loss to Auburn, which they should have won, they are doing great. Offense is doing great. The defense is playing well, and the special teams is doing good. I am excited about getting up there."

"I have been up there a couple of times my junior year, and then I returned this year. It was really cool. I liked all the comradery of the whole town. I feel like I am already there."

"They still want me to come in and play tight end next year. I have decided I am not going to take any other visits. I am just going to visit Kansas State. I will take my official visit after the season."

Olathe-East is off to a good start losing only one game so far this season.

"The season is going pretty good. We are 3-1. We lost to South. They were pre-season ranked No.1. They are a good team. Hopefully we'll get another crack at them," Tannahill said.

"This year I am playing tight end and safety. I have three touchdowns and around 11 receptions. I am getting better each week on defense. I haven't played it since my freshman year."

"We play Leavenworth this week. They are 1-4, but they barely lost to Shawnee Mission East and Shawnee Mission West. They are not the Leavenworth team from the past where you don't have to show up to beat them. You have to show up now. It will be a good game."
