Following his trip to Manhattan, North Dakota State sophomore standout Bobby Jones gave the Wildcats high praise and listed them as one of the frontrunners for his signature. That decision will come sometime tomorrow morning.
Following his trip to Manhattan, North Dakota State sophomore standout
Bobby Jones
gave the Wildcats high praise and listed them as one of the frontrunners for his signature.
Recruited as a DE for the Cat, Jones who runs the forty in the 4.7 to 4.8 range and stands 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds said he will make his decision this evening between
Kansas State
and
Michigan State
.
“Right now I am going to call my parents and talk some things over and then sleep on it and then I will make a decision in the morning.”
Asked what he thought of his trip to Manhattan a week ago.
“There are a couple of things I like about Kansas State but none more then that atmosphere down there. I mean their fans are great and here they are playing for a losing season and their fans are going crazy. The other thing is that the coaches really take care of you and are looking out for you and that is important.”
Asked if he was leaning in direction right now, Jones was quick to point out that he is looking very closely at both Kansas State and Michigan State.
“There are a couple things I just love about Kansas State. A lot of people really knew who I was and that is standing out for me right now. When I went down there a lot of fans knew who I was and they never left their team. The other thing is
Kyle Williams
hosted me and they have a history of recruiting JUCO players and they have really been able to make the transition. “
On his visit, Bobby became very good friends with another Wildcat prospect, Linebacker Marcus Raines- so much in fact that Jones attempted to call Marcus this evening to discuss recruiting.
“Marcus and I got to know one another really well on our visit and we get along great. Me and him get along great and I just tried to get in touch with him and talk to him. I know that he really likes K-State a lot, but I have not been able to get ahold of him and I would really like to try and get ahold of him tonight and see what he is thinking. On our trip we became really tight, really good friends and we have talked about playing together. What it would be like to play together of defense and help them get back to a Big 12 Championship.”
Jones will have three years to play three and looks to have a decision sometime in the morning. Whatever that decision, KSF.c will be there….so stay tuned.
