For whatever reason, The Wildcat Coaching staff is no longer heavily pursing one of the Lonestar state’s top prospects- Naaman Forest High’s star Quarterback.
Cats No Longer Pursing Lonestar Star
By Sean Kelly
Jacob Lacey
is currently holding over 12 offers from Div 1 schools from the likes of:
Texas
Christian, Southern Methodist,
Tulsa
, CU,
Oklahoma State
,
Mississippi State
,
Purdue
,
Wisconsin
,
Kansas
, and
Missouri
with more expected to pour in- Lacey who projects as a WR at the college level says that
Kansas State
has all but dropped off his list.
“I am not sure really what happened but K-State really has not been recruiting me that hard anymore. For awhile there they were high on my list and I really liked them but I have not really heard from them in a while.”
With the additions of talented recruits at the Wide-out position in
Zac Robinson
and fellow Texas native
Andrew Richards
already committed and in the fold, the Wildcat Coaching staff has the luxury of being particularly selective at the Wide Receiver position.
Asked what type of communication the Kansas State staff has had recently, “I used to get calls and mail a lot and right now pretty much everything has stopped form K-State. I really do not hear that much from them anymore” said Lacey.
In regards to if K-State is completely out the picture:”I would not say they are completely out of it but I am definitely looking at others schools right now. I would give them a look and maybe visit if something changed but I have a couple of schools (that are favorites)” he said.
So what schools are recruiting Lacey came back from an ankle injury last week to post 106 yards on the ground and one touchdown.
“I would have to say that Purdue and Kansas are recruiting me the hardest right now.”
As for a leader? Lacey stated that
Colorado
currently leads.
“Colorado is my leader right now. I am really looking at them and they are my top school. Yea, CU is my top school.”
