K-State Offers Out of State Athlete

MANHATTAN, Kan.- The Kansas State football staff has extended a few early offers to players in the 2014 class. Ivan Thomas of Lawton, Oklahoma is among the rising juniors who have received a Wildcat offer. The big 6-foot-2, 265-pound athlete is being recruited by Kansas State as a defensive lineman but plays running back at his high school.

"Before school ended around May 16th my coach told me I had [a Kansas State] offer," said Ivan Thomas. "Coach (Tom) Hayes was there, but I haven't talked with him yet. I'm not sure if they're able to contact me. My coach was saying that they like how hard I work, my leg movement, that I run with a good forward lean, and my size and speed." Thomas was on his...
