Maurice Chandler talked K-State offer

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Maurice Chandler showed he can play some ball in his first year at Lawton (Okla.) High School. To substantiate that, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back now holds six Division 1 offers. He received his first offer in early spring from Texas Tech and Kansas State quickly followed suit.

"When I spoke to Coach Hayes he said he liked my size," said Maurice Chandler. "There aren't too many six-foot cornerbacks out there. He told me he liked how I played in man coverage and also liked my speed." Kansas State was very interested, among with many others, in Chandler's teammate D.J.
